The mission (or purpose) of New Day Church is to lead people to become mature followers of Jesus.

Our mission is based off Jesus' Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20, which encompasses three things:
1.We are to MAKE disciples (help people become followers of Jesus - “go and make disciples” v.19)
2.We are to MARK disciples (help people identify with God’s family at large as well as a local church family through water baptism - “baptizing them” v.19)
3.We are to MATURE disciples (help people grow spiritually - “teaching them” v.20)

Why is this our mission?
Because spiritual maturity (or Christ likeness) is God’s goal for every believer (Romans 8:29, Ephesians 4:13).

What does a M.A.T.U.R.E. follower of Jesus look like?
M stands for making spiritual progress // Growing
A stands for attending church faithfully // Going
T stands for tithing // Giving
U stands for using your gifts in the context of the local church // Serving
R stands for reaching out to those who don't know Jesus // Inviting
E stands for every week.

Therefore, a mature follower of Jesus is someone who once having made a profession of faith is 1) growing, 2) going, 3) giving, 4) serving, and 5) inviting people to New Day every week!

Who are we trying to reach?
New Day Church is for those who best connect with God through a non-traditional, casual approach to church and ministry. As our slogan says “Casual Dress. Serious Faith.” While this approach often attracts a younger crowd, we aren’t so much for the young as we are for the young minded. Anyone of any age that connects with God through a casual approach to church and ministry would feel welcome and right at home at a NDC service. Jesus came for the Jews. Paul was sent to the Gentiles (anyone who wasn’t Jewish). Philip was sent to the Samaritans. New Day Church is also trying to reach a particular people group, as described above.
